Hilary Wants ‘Skinny Celebs’ To Be Left Alone

Hilary Duff chatted with Shout magazine for a Q&A. They asked Hil her opinion on the publics obsession with skinny celebs in Hollywood. “Y’know what? I’m sick of hearing about it,” Duff, who has been accused of being super skinny herself, remarked. “It’s just not a big deal over here in New York or LA, y’know? Like, it’s sad that people get so wrapped up in whether someone’s put on 5 pounds - Or if they’ve lost it! I think it’s best to just be happy whatever you are. People are so weirdly interested in all that and as long as people wanna read it, it’ll just keep coming! I say basically just leave skinny celebs alone.”

One of teendom's more visible couples – actress Hilary Duff and Joel Madden of "Good Charlotte" – have officially called it quits. The Chicago Tribune reported that Madden, during a guest DJ appearance at a club in the Windy City, talked about being a single guy, telling clubgoers that Duff had broken up with him ten days earlier and that their age difference (he's 27, she's 19) caused problems. Today, Star magazine confirms the split with his band's manager, who says, "Joel is, at present, single." No word yet from Duff's camp.

While I was home from Bulgaria, I went to the Carousel of Hope Charity Ball. Haylie looked darling and I really liked my dress, too. It was pretty and comfortable. Serena Williams sat with us and we talked the night away. She is so cool. Also, Whitney Houston sang and Usher performed! It was an awesome night. I have many things going on and so little time to write. Bulgaria is cold, yet exciting. I hope to get to Turkey and the Black Sea while I’m over this way. I love seeing new places!

13 November:

 När jag kom hem från Bulgarien, gick jag på Carousel of Hope Charirty Ball. Haylie såg underbar utoch jag gilldae verkligen min klänning, med. Den var fin och bekväm. Serena Williams satt med oss och vi pratded iväg hela kvällen. Hon är så cool. Även, Whitney Houston sjöng och Usher uppträdde! Det var en fantastisk kväll. Jag har många saker på gång och så lite tid att skriva. I Bulgarien är det kallt, men ändå spännande. Jag hoppas att jag får åka till Turkiet och till Svarta Havet när jag ändå är här. Jag älskar att se nya platser!

Hilary Duff was saved yesterday (05.11.06) from an alleged stalker who had planned to kill her.


The 'Cheaper by the Dozen' actress took out a restraining order against Maksim Miakovsky last month and the 18-year-old Russian immigrant was arrested on Friday (03.11.06) after he revealed he planned to kill the teen star at a public event she was due to attend.

It has been revealed that on Friday a private investigator from Sunset Protective Services contacted Miakovsky at the Residence Inn motel and Miakovsky stated his intention of killing Duff on Sunday (05.11.06).

Miakovsky was arrested at the motel and is currently being held on $200,000 bail at the Manhattan Beach jail after being charged with making criminal threats and stalking.

Duff, 19, and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, took out the restraining order because they feared Miakovsky planned to kill them.

Legal papers filed by Duff alleged that Miakovsky had "stated his intention of 'removing' his 'enemies' (i.e. those who prevent him from being with Duff), stated his intention of purchasing a weapon and threatened to kill himself and to engage in dramatic actions to get her attention."

Duff also alleges in legal documents that Miakovsky came to the US "for the sole purpose of meeting and becoming romantically involved with Ms. Duff".

A lot of you have chimed in on what you think of Hilary’s glossy new dark locks. Now it’s time to hear from Hilary herself:

Teen queen HILARY DUFF showed up on the red carpet this weekend rocking a jet-black, new hair color. So has this bubbly blonde turned to the dark side?

"I know it’s pretty dark, but it’s for a movie!" she assured us. "I’m filming a movie in Bulgaria right now and they were like, ‘We need your hair dark!’ So I just did it."

Hilary joked that she’s scared herself a couple of times with her Goth locks. "I was in my hotel room by myself and I walked by the mirror and I said, ‘Who’s that? Who’s in the room with me?’" But sis HAYLIE says she likes her sibling’s new look: "I love it! It’s a nice change for her."

The two were out Saturday at the Mercedes Benz 17th annual Carousel of Hope Gala, which benefits the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. Hilary was enjoying a brief break from filming her new movie, 'Brand Hauser,' a thriller set in the future and co-starring JOHN CUSACK. She heads back to Bulgaria on Nov. 5th.

I just spent my first week on the set of the new movie I am in called 'War, Inc.' It was so cool. Other actors starring in the movie are John Cusack, his sister Joan Cusack, Marisa Tomei and Sir Ben Kingsley. We are filming in Bulgaria which is near Turkey, Romania and the Black Sea. The food is different but fresh. They really love salads! Salad with tomato, cucumber and feta cheese, called a Shopska salad, seems to be their favorite. I like it a lot because, since Bulgaria doesn't use pesticides, their vegetables are super fresh. In America, an apple can last a week because of preservatives and pesticides, but in Bulgaria, after a day or two, it will be old. I have about four more weeks of filming. It's winter and soooo cold here. Gotta go, I'll see u soon.

Jag har just varit min första vecka on the set till den nya filmen som jag ska vara med i kallad 'War inc.'. Det var så coolt. Andra skådedspelare som är med i filmen är John Cusack, Marisa Tomei och Sir Ben Kingsley. Vi är i Bulgarien och filmer vilket är nära Turkiet, Rumänien och the Black Sea. Maten är annorlunda men fräsch. Dom älskar verkligen sallad! Sallad med tomater, gurka och feta ost, kallad en Shopska sallad, verkar vara deras favorit. Jag gillar deen mycket eftersom, när Bulgarien inte använder bekämpningmedel, deras grönsaker är jätte fräscha. I Amerika, kan ett äppel klasa sig i en vecka pga. konserveringsmedel och bekämpningsmedel, men i Bulgarien, efter en eller två dagar, så är den gammal. Jag har ungefär fyra veckor till med filmningen. Det är vinter och det är såååå kallt här. Måste gå, vi ses snart.
